Our Mission
To work with a group of partners to develop an Integrated Conservation Action Plan and carry out actions to improve outcomes for Species at Risk and species of interest in Yukon South Beringia.
What We’ve Achieved So far…
2019
Outreach and introduction to the Pan-Canadian Approach and the Priority Place initiative and established a core team of interested partners
Shared information, built relationships, explored conservation issues and priorities
2020
Built relationships with the YSB partners working group, agreed to terms of reference, scope and proposed vision for Yukon South Beringia
Identified mutual interests and identified projects supported by the YSB partners
Verified priorities, developed project proposals, increased understanding of adaptive management frameworks, negotiated funding agreements
2021
Embarked on hybrid Healthy Country Planning/ Conservation Standards adaptive action planning process
Worked towards a draft framework for Integrated Conservation Action Plan which involved a Situational Analysis and identification/verification of values and pressures (a.k.a. targets and threats)
2022
Develop results chains for strategies (or subsets) that will be actionable
Develop project ideas that are directly linked to last years work on strategies
Continue to co-develop the foundational pieces for an Integrated Conservation Action Plan
