Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in First Nation is supporting species at risk conservation and the Priority Place Initiative by dedicating staff to engage in conservation planning, with traditional and scientific knowledge. Youth and elders will visit special sites during research time to learn more about species at risk and changes to habitat and traditional territory.

Species at Risk Benefitting: South Beringia is key habitat for grizzly bears, caribou, birds, small mammals, plants, rivers and lakes and traditional ways of surrounding nations.
